I am doing some observational drawings of these white hyacinths as they emerge from bulb, to bud, to flower and then to start making seed again. Using soft pastel on quite a toothed Fabriano paper is mesmerising and yet challenging. The sounds and the feel of putting pastel marks down on the surface of the paper are so absorbing.
